Alison's Art Workshops at Jervis Bay aims to provide excellent quality teaching with a diverse range of inspiring artists, at affordable prices. The workshops cater to all levels of artist from the beginner to highly experienced artists, and provide a supportive and enjoyable educational experience.

Group sizes vary up to a maximum of 12 people - this ensures a focussed learning environment for each student.

All our teachers are professional practising artists as well as experienced teachers which gives you the best learning opportunities.

Our art workshops are conducted by both male and female artists/teachers; I firmly believe that students should be taught by both genders, so it's important to me to ensure that there are top quality female teachers in each year's programme. 

Alison's Art Workshops at Jervis Bay are organised and run by Alison Mackay, a painter who lives and works in the Jervis Bay area. 
Alison's own work includes still life, plein air and portraiture painting - she has been hung in many prestigious prizes including the Portia Geach Memorial Prize (3 times) the NSW Parliament's Plein Air Prize (3 times) the EMSLA (still life award) (2 times) the Gallipoli Art Prize (4 times) and others.  She has also exhibited her work throughout Australia.

Alison's Art Workshops at Jervis Bay is based at Jervis Bay on the south coast of NSW.
Jervis Bay is 2.5 hour drive south of Sydney or 2.5hours east from Canberra.
There are buses from Sydney and trains from Central Station(Sydney) to Bomaderry (Nowra).

Our venues...
Our venues are a specialised ‘Arts Cottage’ in Sanctuary Point, NSW and a large hall in Huskisson, NSW.  Both venues have spacious work areas with kitchen, (equipped with fridge and microwave), bathrooms, and a separate ‘clean’ area for dining and discussion, plus an outside area and ample parking.

We also work 'plein air' in the bush and beach landscapes around Jervis Bay.

In Huskisson, there are good caravan parks with cabin accommodation http://www.whitesandstouristpark.com.au/ and http://www.huskissonbeachtouristresort.com.au/

There are a number of motels in Huskisson (the Huskisson Beach Motel tel: 4441 6387 or the Jervis Bay Motel tel: 4441 5781 are both good and in the main street area - the Jervis bay Motel is the closest to our Huskisson venue).  Huskisson itself is on the shores of Jervis bay and has a range of restuarants, shops, cafes a pub, RSL and bowling club as well as water activities like kayak and stand up paddle hire.

Huskisson Bed and Breakfast (on the right as you come into Husky) is also highly recommended - their website is: http://www.huskissonbnb.com.au/   This is also the closest property to out Huskisson venue - an easy 2 minute walk across the football field.
Next to Huskisson B and B is Dolphin Sands Bed and Breakfast which is also a good option.

 Vincentia is also on the shores of Jervis Bay, has restaurants, a large supermarket, golf club and is 5 minutes drive from the workshop location.  There are a number of different accommodation options, via stayz and a spacious hotel option at http://www.dolphinshores.com.au/.

 If you're looking for something a little more upmarket, have a look at some of the accommodation at:  https://www.jervisbaygetaways.com.au/ There are various properties here, which range in size and will suit different needs and budgets.  They are all nice places to stay - probably the most suitable would be at Worrowing (www.worrowing.com.au) itself which has some small cottages and is close to Vincentia, Huskisson and Sanctuary Point.
